11,000mAh Battery, 10,000-Nit Display, Honor X80 Pro Max Pushes Hard on Endurance

Honor X80 Pro Max stands out for one simple reason: it tries to solve two of the biggest smartphone frustrations at once. It pairs an 11,000mAh battery with an OLED display that Honor says can reach 10,000 nits in certain scenarios.

That combination places the device in a highly unusual position in the market. Instead of focusing on only performance or only battery life, Honor is presenting a phone built around endurance, visibility, and a premium feature set.

A Large OLED Panel Built for Brightness

The phone uses a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a 2788 x 1280 pixel, or 1.5K, resolution. It also supports an adaptive refresh rate between 60Hz and 120Hz to balance smoothness and power efficiency.

Honor adds 3840Hz PWM dimming to help reduce eye strain during long viewing sessions. The company also highlights the display’s peak brightness claim of up to 10,000 nits under specific conditions.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and MagicOS 10

Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, built on a 4nm process. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which should help keep the phone responsive in everyday use.

The device runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Honor also includes AI Outdoor Mode and AI Grip Control, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

11,000mAh Battery and 90W Charging

The headline feature is the fourth-generation Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon battery, rated at 11,000mAh. Honor says the battery can deliver up to 42 days of standby time in certain conditions.

The company also says the phone set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous smartphone livestream, lasting more than 26 hours. For recharging, it supports 90W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging.

Cameras, Durability, and Other Features

Honor equips the X80 Pro Max with a 50MP main camera with OIS and CIPA 6.0-level stabilization. A front-facing 8MP camera handles selfies and video calls.

Other features include stereo speakers, NFC, an IR blaster, dual-frequency GPS, and tri-band BeiDou support. Durability is another major point, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, plus a five-star drop-resistance certification from SGS.

Variants and Pricing

Honor is offering the X80 Pro Max in four memory configurations, starting at 1,999 Yuan for the 8GB + 128GB model. The full lineup also includes 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 512GB options.
