Samsung has added another midrange device to its lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Jump 5 in South Korea. The phone stands out for combining a 120Hz AMOLED display, AI-based features, and a 50MP main camera in a model sold exclusively through KT.

The launch also signals Samsung’s effort to bring AI capabilities into the Galaxy A Series earlier than many expected. That approach helps move smart features beyond flagship devices and into a more accessible segment.

Display and performance built for everyday use

The Galaxy Jump 5 comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling through social feeds and gaming feel smoother.

Under the hood, Samsung uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while microSD expansion remains available for users who need more space.

Camera setup led by a stabilized 50MP sensor

Samsung equips the phone with a triple rear camera system. The setup includes a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies and video calls, the company places a 12MP front camera on the device. The configuration is designed to deliver better results than many standard midrange setups.

Battery life, software support, and durability

The Galaxy Jump 5 includes a 5,000mAh battery, supported by 25W fast charging. Samsung also ships the phone with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 right out of the box.

One of the more notable promises is long-term software support. Samsung says the device will receive Android OS updates for up to six generations, which is a key selling point for buyers who want a phone that lasts.

For daily use, the phone also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock, a USB Type-C port, and 5G support.

A KT-exclusive version of the Galaxy A27 5G

The Galaxy Jump 5 is essentially a carrier-specific version of the Galaxy A27 5G that was introduced earlier. Samsung has adjusted the model with AI integration and exclusive KT services to fit the operator’s market strategy.

In South Korea, the phone is priced at 545,600 won, or around Rp6,5 jutaan. It is available in Black, Light Green, and Light Pink.

Sales begin on 3 July through all official KT retail stores and the operator’s official online store. With a 120Hz AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 50MP OIS camera, a 5,000mAh battery, and six generations of Android updates, the Galaxy Jump 5 arrives as one of Samsung’s most complete midrange options in the Korean market.
