Caviar Turns the Unreleased iPhone Fold Into a Luxury Collector Piece, Prices Reach Rp290 Million

Caviar has moved ahead of Apple with a limited luxury interpretation of the rumored iPhone Fold. The Russian accessories maker says only 19 units will be produced worldwide, positioning the device as a collector-grade object rather than a mass-market phone.

The launch comes as Apple is still facing speculation about delays to its own foldable model. technology.bisnis.com reported that the slowdown may be tied to hinge components that have not yet met the company’s internal quality standards.

A foldable built like a showcase piece

Caviar’s version is presented in a book-style foldable format and appears under the names iPhone Ultra or iPhone Fold. In the video titled “The Flagship: The First Foldable Phone by Caviar,” the device is shown with a more dramatic design language than typical foldable phones.

The materials alone place it firmly in the luxury segment. Caviar uses titanium, genuine crocodile leather, silver, and 18-karat gold, while adding a 3D Apple logo on the back to underline the iPhone identity.

Four variants, four different price points

VariantMain CharacteristicPrice
Dark CherryPurple crocodile leather with gold-plated trimPre-order from US$13,840
TitanAll-black body, trim, and leatherPre-order from US$13,840
SilverSilver upper panel with crocodile leather inserts and sterling silver 3D logoPre-order from US$13,840
GoldFull carbon-fiber body with 18K gold Apple logoUS$16,270 for 1TB

Each variant is aimed at buyers looking for exclusivity more than practicality. Caviar also appears to have drawn inspiration from rumored iPhone 18 Pro colors, including Dark Cherry as one of the visual references.

The Gold edition stands as the most expensive model in the lineup because it uses a full carbon-fiber body and a pure 18K gold Apple logo. Caviar sets its price at US$16,270, which is about Rp290 million.

Luxury positioning instead of mainstream appeal

The overall collection starts at US$13,840, or around Rp240 million, making it clear that this is not a product designed for the broader market. The limited production run and premium materials place it squarely in high-end collectible territory.

Apple, meanwhile, is still rumored to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its foldable iPhone in September 2026. MacRumors says the three devices are expected to launch at prices above US$2,000, or around Rp34 million.

That contrast makes Caviar’s move stand out. While Apple has yet to release a foldable iPhone of its own, Caviar has already created a luxury version meant to showcase exclusivity, not affordability.
