Nubia NaviX Ultra Arrives With Four Colors, but Its Orange Button Is Unexplained

Nubia has shown the NaviX Ultra in four color options ahead of its full presentation at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 in Shanghai. Yet the handset’s most conspicuous detail is an orange side button whose purpose remains undisclosed.

The company has positioned the device as its first AI phone, making the button a likely point of interest for its software experience. Nubia has not confirmed whether it will provide direct access to an AI feature or serve another function.

Four finishes confirmed

Posts published by Nubia on Weibo confirmed the NaviX Ultra name and its available finishes. The phone will be offered in Black, Pink, Purple, and White.

Official teaser images show a vertically positioned, pill-shaped rear camera island near the top of the body. The flash sits separately below the camera module rather than inside the same frame.

On the front, the phone uses a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Nubia has not disclosed the display size, panel type, camera configuration, battery capacity, or charging specifications.

Doubao AI is central to the device

Nubia has confirmed that the Nubia NaviX Ultra will include the Doubao AI assistant. Its inclusion indicates that AI integration is intended to be a central part of the phone’s daily-use experience.

According to Gadgets360, Doubao AI had previously been used on the Nubia M153. The assistant is designed to carry out tasks across different applications through AI agentic capabilities.

The NaviX Ultra has been described as a possible successor to the Nubia M153, although Nubia has not formally confirmed that relationship. The M153 was introduced in China in December 2025 and later made its global debut at Mobile World Congress 2026.

The earlier model featured Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset alongside Doubao AI. Nubia has not revealed the chipset planned for the NaviX Ultra, leaving its hardware performance unknown.

Shanghai presentation set for July

Nubia will present the device during World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026, scheduled for July 17 to July 20 in Shanghai. The event is expected to provide the company’s fuller explanation of the phone’s AI functions.

Before the presentation, Nubia said the phone received the WAIC 2026 SAIL Outstanding AI Leader Award. The recognition was announced before the company detailed the NaviX Ultra’s technical specifications or its complete AI capabilities.

Pricing and market availability have not been announced. The Shanghai event will clarify whether the orange button and Doubao AI introduce a distinct way to use Nubia’s new handset.
