Tecno Pova 8 5G enters Indonesia’s Rp4 million price range with two features aimed directly at extended gaming use: an 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery and a 144Hz display. The phone starts at Rp4.299.000, while the higher-memory version is priced at Rp5.599.000.
The large battery sits inside an 8.8 mm body, an arrangement that sets the device apart within its stated pricing range. Tecno says the battery can retain more than 80 percent of its health after 2,000 charging cycles.
The handset supports 45W fast charging and includes an intelligent charging function comparable to bypass charging during intensive gaming. In that situation, power from the charger can be directed to the motherboard rather than passing through the battery cell.
This approach is intended to help manage device temperature and reduce battery load when the phone is used while charging. Thermal management is further supported by the Thermal Z0 Cooling Tech system, which has a cooling area of 14,689 mm².
Display Built for Fast-Moving Games
Tecno uses a 6.76-inch Alive Matrix Display with an IPS LCD panel rather than the AMOLED 120Hz panel that had previously been rumored. It offers an FHD+ resolution of 2,344 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
The higher refresh rate is designed to make visual motion smoother in fast-paced games, including first-person shooters. The display also includes Wet & Oily Finger Touch Recognition 2.0 to keep touch input readable when fingers are sweaty or oily.
Dimensity 7100 5G and Storage Options
The Tecno Pova 8 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, built on a 6 nm architecture. It is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor, while the software is HiOS 16 based on Android 16. These specifications place the phone in the mid-range segment with an emphasis on performance, storage capacity, and heat control.

Two Versions at Different Price Points
Pre-orders for the Tecno Pova 8 5G opened in Indonesia in mid-July 2026. Product specification sheets have also appeared through retail platforms including Erafone.
The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is the entry option at Rp4.299.000. Buyers who need more memory and storage can choose the 8GB RAM and 256GB version for Rp5.599.000.
