FreeBuds Pro5 Arrives in Indonesia, Huawei Opens Rp 2,999 Juta Flagship TWS Preorders

Huawei has expanded its consumer lineup in Indonesia with two products aimed at very different needs: the FreeBuds Pro5 for premium wireless audio and the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro for more reliable home connectivity. The FreeBuds Pro5 stands out as the headline device, carrying flagship TWS positioning, active noise cancellation, and a launch price of Rp 2.999.000.

Preorders for the earbuds open on 24 April 2026 across Huawei’s official sales channels in Indonesia. Alongside the earbuds, Huawei is also bringing the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro to users who want stronger internet coverage across multiple rooms.

A smaller and lighter flagship design

Huawei says the FreeBuds Pro5 was built for longer wear without sacrificing comfort. The company claims the design was developed through ergonomic testing and analysis involving 10,000 ear samples.

Edy Supartono, Senior Retail Manager Huawei Device Indonesia, said the new model is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. “It is 10% smaller and 5% lighter,” he said at the product launch in Jakarta.

That more compact shape is intended to create a better seal in the ear while avoiding the feeling of extra weight. Huawei also emphasizes that the earbuds remain stable during use, which makes them suitable for daily movement and active routines.

Audio hardware focused on detail and range

On the sound side, the FreeBuds Pro5 uses an ultra-linear dual-magnet driver that is claimed to deliver bass down to 10Hz. It also includes an ultra-thin micro-planar diaphragm driver for treble up to 48kHz, supported by Dual DSP and Dual DAC processing.

The earbuds support 48kHz/24-bit lossless audio and the L2HC 4.0 codec. Huawei also adds 360-degree spatial audio that adjusts the direction of sound according to the user’s head movement.

Another key feature is the AI-based dual-engine noise cancellation system. Huawei says the ANC can process 400,000 noise instances per second and cut noise by up to 220%.

Call quality and battery life

Huawei says the FreeBuds Pro5 is also designed to keep calls clear in noisy settings. The company’s claim covers environments with noise levels up to 100dB and wind speeds of up to 10 m/s.

Each earbud weighs 5.5 grams and carries a 60 mAh battery. With ANC turned on, Huawei claims playback can last up to 6 hours, while the charging case extends total battery life to 38 hours.

Connectivity and durability

The FreeBuds Pro5 supports Bluetooth 6.0 and works with the Huawei Audio Connect app. It can also pair with EMUI, iOS, and Android devices, and it supports dual-device connection.

Huawei gives the earbuds an IP57 rating as well. That protection makes the device better prepared for sweat, rain, and dust in everyday use.

WiFi Mesh X3 Pro joins the launch

Huawei’s second product for Indonesia is the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro, aimed at households that need stable internet across many parts of the home. The device also carries a more decorative approach so it can blend more easily with interior spaces.

The WiFi Mesh X3 Pro comes in a Golden Mountain Glow design, shaped like an icy mountain peak inside a glass cylinder. It includes two Ethernet ports and support for Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7.

To maintain stable performance, Huawei equips the router with a second-generation fan and a new air ventilation system. The setup is designed to help the device stay cool even when handling multiple connections at once.

Price, colors, and early offers

The FreeBuds Pro5 is available in Sand and Grey. Huawei has priced the TWS at Rp 2.999.000, with preorders starting on 24 April 2026.

During the promotion period from 24 April to 24 May, Huawei is offering a special deal in the form of a price reduction for the purchase of one earbud that is valid for one year. Huawei has not yet announced the price or availability of the WiFi Mesh X3 Pro, and those details will be shared through the company’s official website.
