Vivo’s upcoming S60 series is drawing attention for a rare mix of traits that usually do not appear together in one device: a reflective premium design, a very large battery, and a high-end Snapdragon chip. The leaked details suggest Vivo is trying to push the series beyond a standard mid-to-premium formula.
The most eye-catching element is the back panel, which is said to take inspiration from summer light reflecting on the sea. The silver-white finish reportedly changes appearance as the phone moves, creating a shimmering effect that resembles sunlight on waves.
Vivo Communication Technology Product Manager Han Boxiao has also shared an official teaser, giving the device an elegant first look. The design appears to be aimed at making the S60 stand out visually in a crowded premium segment.
Design cues and hardware protection
Vivo is reportedly using large-format cold-carved glass on the back, a material choice that is said to improve the smoothness of the surface and the in-hand feel. The camera module seems to stay in the top-left corner, following the layout used by the previous generation.
The Vivo S60 Pro Mini is expected to take a different approach with a horizontal camera layout. Both models are also said to support an additional telephoto accessory, which could help improve long-range zoom photography.
Durability is part of the package as well. The phone is rumored to carry both IP68 and IP69 certifications, along with a metal middle frame that reinforces the premium build.
Display and battery focus
On the front, the Vivo S60 is said to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K display. Digital Chat Station reports that the screen will have narrow bezels and rounded corners, a combination that should make the device feel more modern and immersive.
The battery is another major headline. The S60 is rumored to pack more than 7,000mAh, which is unusually large for a premium smartphone, and the phone is also expected to support 90W fast charging.
That combination points to a device designed for users who want long endurance without giving up quick top-ups. It also makes the S60 one of the more battery-focused premium models in the current rumor cycle.
Cameras and security features
For imaging, the Vivo S60 is said to use a periscope telephoto camera based on a Sony IMX8-series sensor. That setup usually appears in flagship devices because it can deliver stronger optical zoom performance.
An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is also part of the leak. Compared with standard optical sensors, this type is generally associated with faster and more accurate response.
Magnetic accessory support is another detail mentioned in the leaks, enabled through a dedicated case. Vivo is also said to be preparing a magnetic accessory ecosystem to make the phone more flexible in daily use.

Powering the Vivo S60 is expected to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The chipset is known for delivering strong performance while keeping power efficiency at a reasonable level.
With that hardware, the S60 should be able to handle demanding apps and games smoothly. The chip is also said to support better AI capabilities, which could benefit both photography and overall system performance.
