Prince Harry Says His Full-Time Job Is Raising His Kids, and the Podcast Moment Stood Out

Prince Harry used a casual podcast appearance to say that his full-time job these days is being a dad. The remark came during the “Joe Marler Will See You Now” interview, where he was asked to introduce himself by his full name and occupation.

Harry replied, “Henry Albert Charles David, Duke of Sussex,” before joking, “Full-time dad. British Army veteran. Prince of England. Duke. But for today, I don’t know. What do you want?” He eventually settled on “Duke.”

Harry Leans Into Humor While Promoting Invictus Games

The episode, released on July 13, appears to have been filmed during Harry’s recent visit to the U.K. The Telegraph reported that the interview was meant to promote the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in 2027.

Podcast DetailWhat Harry SaidContext

Occupation Joke“Full-time dad”He was asked to state his job
Preferred Title“Duke”He ultimately settled on that answer

Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” said the moment was revealing because Harry led with a title rather than a surname. She noted that his full name is Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor and said that “Duke of Sussex” is a title, not his name.

What Else Came Up in the Interview

Harry also talked about lighter subjects, including his favorite “trashy” TV show, which he said was “Love Island.” He said he was aware of the 2014 show “I Want to Marry Harry,” and joked that he was unavailable to take part at the time.

When the conversation turned to grooming, Harry described his routine as “s—, shower, shave.” He also said he trims his beard about every five to six days and joked about his hairline by saying, “Nothing, nothing really happening on top.”

He added that people think of him as ginger, but he sees his hair as more “sunset … auburn.” The interview also moved into more serious territory when he discussed recovery from trauma and said going to the gym is “the one.”

“I mean, any form of exercise is great, especially when you’re depressed, when you’re dealing with stuff and stressed,” Harry said. “Like, you’ve got to move that s— around the body.”

The show was co-hosted by Jake Bhardwaj and also featured Harry’s friend, former Royal Marines commando and Invictus Games gold medalist JJ Chalmers. Harry told him, “So glad you’re here. It’s been weird.”

Recent U.K. Visit Added More Royal Context

The interview was recorded during Harry’s recent trip to the U.K., where he attended several charity engagements. On July 10, Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet met with King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House, according to Buckingham Palace.

Harry arrived in the U.K. on July 6 for a series of charity events that were overshadowed by speculation about whether he would meet with his father. Fox News Digital also reported that Buckingham Palace and Archewell were contacted for comment.
