The final round of the Cadillac Championship in Miami was moved up after dangerous weather forced a two-hour delay. Tournament officials scheduled the round to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET, with all final-round tee times shifted two hours later than originally planned.
The change affected play at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster Course, where the PGA TOUR returned for an event carrying a $20 million purse. The adjustment came as forecasted inclement weather threatened the area and created a tighter timetable for both players and broadcasters.
Weather forces a revised Sunday schedule
Officials set the final-round tee times between 9:30 a.m. and 11:42 a.m. ET, using both tee Nos. 1 and 10. The revised plan gave players a clearer window to complete the round while reducing the risk of further disruption from the weather.
The move also altered the television schedule, with coverage times brought forward to match the earlier start. That shift made the final round easier to follow for fans tracking the competition through live broadcasts and streaming options.
Young holds control after Round 3
Cameron Young entered the final round with a six-shot lead after a third-round 70 left him at 15-under. Scottie Scheffler, Si Woo Kim and Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan shared second place after posting 3-under 69s.
Ben Griffin, Matt McCarty and Nick Taylor were grouped at 8-under, keeping some pressure on the leaders behind them. The weather delay added another variable to a leaderboard already shaped by strong scoring and a wide gap at the top.
How fans could follow the event
Broadcast plans included PGA TOUR LIVE Betcast presented by DraftKings on ESPN+, giving fans betting coverage and analysis throughout the week. Sunday’s PGA TOUR LIVE window was listed from 10:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tournament coverage on Golf Channel was set for 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by CBS, the CBS Sports App and Paramount+ from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. tape-delayed, while CBS Sports App and CBSSports.com were also scheduled to simulcast with Golf Channel from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
