7,000mAh Power Meets Periscope Zoom, Vivo S60 Aims Higher in the Premium Class

Vivo S60 is drawing attention for trying to combine two features that are rarely pushed together in the premium segment: a periscope telephoto camera and a battery that is said to reach 7,000mAh. That pairing has made the series stand out even before its official launch in China.

The latest leaks suggest that Vivo is not building the S60 series around a single selling point. Instead, the company appears to be aiming for a more complete package that balances long battery life, strong zoom capability, and a premium daily-use experience.

Periscope camera becomes the main highlight

The most notable detail so far is the camera system. Vivo S60 is said to use a periscope telephoto camera with a Sony IMX8-series sensor, a setup usually associated with flagship-class devices.

A periscope module typically helps deliver more stable and sharper optical zoom, which makes the phone more appealing for long-distance photography. Another detail that has surfaced is support for an external telephoto lens accessory, reportedly available on two models to push zoom capability even further.

A big battery paired with fast charging

Battery life is another major talking point around the Vivo S60 series. The phone is rumored to pack a battery in the 7,000mAh range, which is a large number for a premium phone.

That capacity is paired with 90W fast charging. The combination matters because a big battery is more useful when charging times stay short, and that seems to be part of Vivo’s approach here.

Premium design with a reflective finish

Beyond the core hardware, Vivo also appears to be giving the phone a distinct visual identity. The back panel is said to draw inspiration from the reflection of sea light in summer, with a silver-white reflective effect that changes as the device moves.

Official teasers from Vivo executives also point to an elegant premium look. The company is reportedly using a large cold-carved glass back for a smoother feel, while a metal middle frame adds to the high-end positioning.

Magnetic accessory support is also said to be included, giving the phone more flexibility in day-to-day use. That kind of addition fits the overall direction of the device, which seems designed to feel premium in both appearance and function.

Large display, Snapdragon power, and stronger durability

On the display side, the Vivo S60 is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K screen with thin bezels. That size and resolution point toward a modern, expansive viewing experience.

Performance is expected to come from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a chipset known for strong speed while keeping power efficiency in check. With that platform, the device should be able to handle demanding apps, games, and AI-based features more smoothly.

An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is also part of the leak profile. In addition, the phone is said to carry IP68 and IP69 certification, suggesting stronger resistance against dust and water under specific conditions.

Different layouts for different models

The camera design is also expected to vary across the lineup. Vivo S60 is said to keep a camera module in the upper-left corner, while the Pro Mini variant is tipped to use a horizontal arrangement for a different visual identity.

Information on the Pro Mini remains limited, but the direction is clear. Vivo seems to be separating the models through design as well as size, rather than simply offering the same device in different dimensions.

Taken together, the leaked details place the Vivo S60 series in a familiar but ambitious premium formula: advanced zoom photography, a large battery, fast charging, flagship-style materials, and added durability.
