Heybike Saturn Brings Retro Moped Style, Full Suspension, and a $999 Entry Point

A moped-style e-bike that looks more premium than its price tag is now part of Heybike’s lineup. The Saturn combines a retro motorcycle-inspired design with a long list of features that are usually associated with more expensive models.

At $999, it enters the market as a relatively aggressive offer for riders who want a full-suspension e-bike with strong hardware and everyday usability. Heybike also positions it as the brand’s first model to adopt this classic motorbike design language, and it already carries UL 2849 certification.

Power and speed in a retro body

Under the styling, the Saturn uses a 1,000 W rear hub motor. Heybike says peak output can reach 1,800 W, while torque is rated at 95 Nm.

The bike is sold as a Class 3 e-bike with a top speed of 28 mph, or 45 km/h. Depending on available settings, riders can unlock a higher speed of up to 40 mph, or 64 km/h.

Battery options for different ranges

Heybike offers two battery configurations for the Saturn. Buyers can choose a single 957 Wh battery or a dual-battery setup with a total capacity of 1,931.6 Wh.

The claimed range is up to 50 miles, or 80 km, with the single battery. With the dual-battery package, the figure rises to 90 miles, or 145 km.

Built for rough roads and daily comfort

The Saturn uses a full-suspension setup to support its moped-style frame. Up front, it gets a 140 mm hydraulic fork, while the rear uses spring suspension.

It also rides on two Chaoyang fat tires sized 20 x 4 inches. Braking is handled by hydraulic disc brakes, which complete the hardware package for urban use and uneven surfaces.

Features aimed at everyday riding

For ride information, the bike comes with a TFT color display that shows speed, battery level, and other data. Heybike also pairs it with a smart companion app that displays speed, distance, and battery status in real time on a smartphone.

After a ride, the app continues storing trip data for later review. The Saturn also supports a maximum load of 330 lbs, or 149.6 kg, and carries IPX6/IPX5 water resistance ratings.

To round out the daily-use equipment, Heybike includes a headlight, taillight, turn signals, and a horn. The model is currently listed in black only, and ordering is already open through Heybike’s official website.

With its retro styling, dual-battery option, full suspension, and Class 3 hardware, the Saturn is clearly aimed at riders who want a motorcycle-like e-bike without moving into a much higher price bracket. At $999, it stands out as one of the more assertive entries in Heybike’s expanding global e-bike push.
