F1 25 Gets A 2026 Season Pack, EA Sets Up A Full Reset For 2027

EA Sports is taking a different route with F1 25, and the decision gives the game a longer life than many fans may have expected. Instead of moving straight to a separate annual release, the publisher will fold the 2026 Formula 1 season into the existing game through a 2026 Season Pack launching globally on 3 June 2026.

That approach keeps F1 25 current while EA prepares a larger reset for 2027. The company says the expansion is built around “Rewrite the Grid,” a message that signals major changes to teams, drivers, and regulations.

A full 2026 season inside F1 25

The 2026 Season Pack is not limited to a roster update. EA is bringing the 2026 regulations into the game, along with the new Madrid GP circuit and additional racing elements that affect strategy on track.

The expansion will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That platform lineup places the update directly in front of active F1 25 players who want the latest season format without switching to a new standalone title.

Grid changes go beyond cosmetics

The most notable shift arrives in the team structure. Audi is officially taking over Sauber, while Cadillac enters Formula 1 as a new team under the revised 2026 rules.

Those additions change more than the menu screen. They alter the identity of the season itself and reshape the career and race context players will encounter when starting a new run.

Driver lineups are also being refreshed

EA is updating the roster to match the 2026 season setup. Isack Hadjar will join Max Verstappen at Red Bull Racing, while Cadillac’s lineup will feature Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas.

That kind of roster shift gives the update a stronger seasonal feel. Players who start a full season mode will immediately face a different team structure and a different competitive landscape from the one in the base game.

Madrid GP arrives through Madring

One of the headline additions is Madrid Grand Prix, which comes to the game through a new street circuit called Madring. EA describes the track as fast and demanding, which should make it an appealing option for players who enjoy street circuits.

For an official racing game, a new circuit is often one of the most important additions. In this case, Madrid GP gives returning players a clear reason to revisit F1 25 and experience the 2026 content firsthand.

Strategy on the track will change too

EA is also changing how players manage battles during races. The traditional DRS system is being removed for the 2026 content in the game and replaced with “Overtake Mode.”

That switch is likely to affect both attacking and defending in wheel-to-wheel racing. It also adds a new strategic layer, since players will need to adjust not only to the new teams and drivers, but also to a different race rhythm.

Pricing and the road to 2027

EA has positioned the 2026 season as a DLC rather than a full-priced new game. The company says the move gives the development team time to carry out a deeper engine overhaul for a broader reset in 2027.

Pricing has already been set globally. The standalone expansion costs $29.99 on consoles and $24.99 on PC. For players who do not own the base game, EA will also offer a full bundle priced at $54.99 for PC and $59.99 for consoles.

Prices for India have not been officially announced, but the stated range is around ₹2,500 to ₹2,999 for the expansion and around ₹4,499 to ₹4,999 for the full bundle. With the June 3, 2026 release date locked in, F1 25 is set to serve as the bridge into the new regulation era before EA pushes toward a larger transformation in 2027.
