Steam’s latest best-selling games chart has offered a fresh snapshot of what PC players are spending time and money on. Among the usual heavyweight names across multiple genres, Wuthering Waves and Umamusume Pretty Derby stood out by entering the list and drawing attention from the PC gaming community.
Their presence is notable because both titles are anime-style games that also reflect how mobile-origin releases can gain traction on Steam. The result suggests that this segment still has strong momentum on PC, even as the platform remains crowded with big-name releases.
Bronze tier puts anime games alongside major hits
Valve sorted the 2025 best-selling titles into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers based on sales performance and active player numbers over a certain period. Wuthering Waves and Umamusume Pretty Derby landed in Bronze, placing them in the same category as a broad mix of well-known games.
That list includes Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Black Myth: Wukong, Palworld, Stardew Valley, Hogwarts Legacy, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Street Fighter 6, Diablo IV, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Phasmophobia, Farming Simulator 25, The First Descendant, and Dying Light: The Beast. The lineup shows that Steam’s audience continues to support everything from action and RPG games to survival, simulation, and fighting titles.
A crowded field across genres
The Bronze group makes one point especially clear: no single genre dominates the platform. Long-running favorites such as Stardew Valley and Euro Truck Simulator 2 remain present, while newer releases and large-scale productions continue to compete for player attention.
