At first glance, Infinix Hot 70 and TECNO Spark 50 4G sit in the same lane. Both target buyers who want a large display, 4G connectivity, and an affordable price, but the two phones separate themselves by taking different priorities: faster performance on one side, a bigger battery on the other.
That split becomes clear once the specifications are placed side by side. Each model uses a 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, an 8MP front camera, and a 50MP rear camera, so the basic viewing and imaging setup is closely matched.
Performance shapes the choice
The clearest gap appears in the chipset. Infinix Hot 70 runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate, while TECNO Spark 50 4G uses the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate, which sits lower in the same class.
Infinix also gives the Hot 70 an advantage in storage technology. Its Helio G100 Ultimate supports UFS 2.2 internal storage, which offers better read and write performance than the eMMC 5.1 used on phones with Helio G81.
That difference continues in memory options. Infinix Hot 70 goes up to 256GB, while TECNO Spark 50 4G is limited to 128GB.
Battery size does not tell the whole story
TECNO Spark 50 4G counters with a larger battery. It carries a 7000 mAh cell, compared with the 6000 mAh battery inside Infinix Hot 70.
Infinix answers with much faster charging. The Hot 70 supports 45W charging, while TECNO Spark 50 4G is limited to 18W, so the larger battery on the TECNO model will take longer to refill.
The Infinix model also adds 10W reverse wired charging through USB Type-C. That gives it extra flexibility for users who occasionally need to charge another device from the phone.
Design and practical extras differ too
The two phones also take different approaches to their rear design. Infinix Hot 70 uses a vertically stretched rectangular camera module, while TECNO Spark 50 4G adopts a rear module inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro design.
Infinix adds Active Halo Light on the back, which can light up during charging or when messages arrive. It also offers a thermo orange color option that changes color in different temperatures.
For durability, Infinix Hot 70 carries IP65 certification, which offers better protection against low-pressure water jets. TECNO Spark 50 4G comes with IP64, which is more limited to splashes.
Features that may matter to different users
TECNO Spark 50 4G keeps a 3.5mm audio jack, which remains useful for users who still rely on wired headphones. It also includes NFC, a feature not highlighted for the Infinix model.
Both phones share several common points beyond the display and cameras. They each use stereo speakers, a fingerprint scanner on the power button, and an infrared blaster.
Price separates the target buyer
Pricing also pushes the two devices toward different audiences. TECNO Spark 50 4G is the cheaper option, with the 4/128GB variant priced at Rp1.9 million and the 6/128GB version at Rp2.2 million.
Infinix Hot 70 sits higher in the market. Its 4/128GB model costs Rp2.1 million, the 6/128GB version is Rp2.6 million, the 8/128GB model reaches Rp3.1 million, and the 6/256GB variant is priced at Rp3.3 million.
That makes the decision fairly straightforward. TECNO Spark 50 4G fits buyers who want a lower price, a 7000 mAh battery, and a 3.5mm jack, while Infinix Hot 70 is stronger for users who value performance, faster charging, and better water protection.
