Soundcore R50i NC and Baseus BP1 Pro Put Budget ANC Under Real Pressure

Active Noise Cancellation is no longer reserved for expensive earbuds. In the Rp300,000 class, Soundcore R50i NC and Baseus Bass BP1 Pro are showing how far entry-level wireless audio has moved.

Both models bring features that were once tied to higher price segments, including ANC, companion apps, and AI-based call support. That shift has made the low-cost TWS market far more competitive for buyers who want more than basic playback.

Soundcore leans toward everyday flexibility

Soundcore R50i NC is positioned as the more practical option in daily use. It combines Adaptive ANC rated up to 42dB with a Transparency mode, so users can switch between isolation and awareness depending on the situation.

For sound tuning, Soundcore uses a 10mm dynamic driver with BassUp technology. The brand also gives users access to the Soundcore app, which offers 22 equalizer presets for more personalized listening.

The model runs on Bluetooth 5.4 and supports dual-device connection. That makes it easier to move between a laptop and a smartphone without repeating the pairing process.

For calls, the earbud uses four microphones with AI support to help keep voices clearer. It also carries an IP54 rating, making it suitable for workouts and everyday use with protection against splashes and sweat.

Baseus pushes harder on ANC and battery life

Baseus Bass BP1 Pro takes a more aggressive route on specifications. Its headline feature is Adaptive ANC up to 50dB, which gives it a stronger noise-canceling claim on paper than the Soundcore model.

The earbud also supports LDAC, a codec designed to carry higher-resolution audio data than standard Bluetooth codecs. For users with compatible sources, that can mean richer detail and a more refined listening experience.

Baseus also includes an app with equalizer controls, but the bigger draw is endurance. The total battery life is stated at up to 55 hours, giving it an edge for users who want longer listening sessions between charges.

Call handling is supported by six microphones across both earbuds, along with AI to help reduce background noise during phone calls and online meetings. The model is also rated IP55, which offers stronger resistance to dust and splashes than many peers in the same class.

Which one fits better

The choice between the two comes down to what matters more. Soundcore R50i NC is the better fit for buyers who want a balanced package, more app control, dual-device convenience, and a typically lower entry cost.

Baseus Bass BP1 Pro is aimed at users who care more about deeper ANC, LDAC support, and longer battery life. It looks more focused on audio quality and endurance than on broad everyday flexibility.

That is why neither model is a universal winner. Both show that premium-feeling features are now arriving in the under-Rp350,000 segment, giving buyers more serious options without moving into the mid-range price tier.
