Take-Two Interactive is drawing fresh attention as investors watch for the start of GTA 6 pre-orders, a moment that could move the stock again. At the center of that anticipation is a widely discussed possibility: a standard edition price of $80 and the chance that Rockstar may also reveal a third trailer.
The market has already reacted to the announcement of GTA 6 pre-orders. Take-Two shares rose again by nearly 5% on the next trading day, and investors are now looking to June 25th to see whether the same momentum returns when reservations open.
Pricing is the key signal investors are watching
Jefferies Financial Group, which holds a large stake, sees pricing as the main factor likely to shape investor sentiment. The firm считает $80 the most plausible price for the standard edition of GTA 6, while also allowing for a slightly lower base price of $70.
If Rockstar chooses the $80 level, it would create more room for deluxe and collector’s editions to stand out. Jefferies believes that premium tiers could make the standard version feel more approachable for buyers waiting for a fuller package.
Trailer expectations are rising, but nothing is certain
Many fans are also waiting for trailer #3, especially since the last long gameplay footage arrived in May 2025. Jefferies shares that expectation, but says pricing remains the main issue rather than a simple confirmation of the studio’s ambition.
That said, a new trailer is not guaranteed just because pre-orders begin. Rockstar’s marketing history shows that trailer timing can shift, including with GTA 5, when the second video arrived more than a week after purchases opened.
What Rockstar’s strategy could mean for Take-Two
Jefferies points to Red Dead Redemption 2 as a useful comparison. When pre-orders for that game began, the stock climbed 20%, which is why the bank still sees room for GTA 6 to trigger a similar move in Take-Two.
The game is also expected to launch without multiplayer content on November 19th. Even so, the shareholder thinks premium bonuses could still hint at online plans, including currency for online use or rewards tied entirely to the single-player campaign.
The longer-term stakes remain high
GTA 6 monetization is expected to matter well beyond launch day because it could shape Take-Two’s long-term earnings. That is why the standard-edition price, the content in premium packages, and the timing of any new trailer have become the three details the market is watching most closely.
For investors, pre-orders are more than an early sales milestone. They are also a signal of how aggressively Rockstar and Take-Two intend to position one of the biggest game releases in years, while buyers on June 25th may finally learn both the base price and whether trailer #3 appears.
