Oppo has expanded its wearable lineup with the Watch X3 Mini, a compact smartwatch aimed at users who want flagship-style features in a smaller body. The model is positioned for people with slimmer wrists who still expect a premium display, broad health tracking, and everyday practicality.
The size is one of its most noticeable advantages. Oppo Watch X3 Mini measures 43.2 x 43.2 x 11.18 mm and weighs about 40.4 grams without the strap, making it notably easier to wear throughout the day than larger smartwatches. With the strap attached, the weight ranges from 58 to 60.6 grams depending on the material, while color options include gold, silver, and brown.
A compact display built for readability
Despite its smaller footprint, the Watch X3 Mini does not cut back on screen quality. It uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel with a 466 x 466 pixel resolution, which should keep text and interface elements sharp and easy to read.
Oppo also rates the display at up to 1,000 nits of brightness, helping visibility in strong outdoor light. The screen is protected by sapphire crystal, a material commonly valued for better scratch resistance than standard glass.
Core hardware and connectivity
Inside the watch, Oppo uses the Snapdragon Wear W5 chipset to support smartwatch functions and maintain efficient performance. The hardware choice suggests a focus on smooth operation while keeping power use under control.
Connectivity is broad for a device in this size class. The Watch X3 Mini supports eSIM as an optional feature, along with Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and multi-satellite GPS.
Battery life changes with usage
Oppo pairs the watch with a 354 mAh battery. In normal smart mode, the company claims up to 2.5 days of use, while enabling Always-On Display reduces endurance to around 1.5 days.
For users who prioritize longer runtime over advanced features, power-saving mode extends battery life to as much as 7 days. That range gives the watch flexibility across different usage patterns.
Health tracking remains a major focus
The Watch X3 Mini places health monitoring at the center of its feature set. It includes an optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen measurement, a wrist temperature sensor, a barometer, and an ambient light sensor.
Oppo also equips the watch with more than 100 sports modes, covering a wide variety of activities. An AI-based workout coach is part of the package as well, offering more structured guidance during training sessions.
Built for daily wear
To support regular use, the smartwatch carries 5ATM and IP68 ratings. Those protections indicate resistance to water and dust for everyday situations, making it suitable for light exposure to water and unexpected weather changes.
That combination of compact dimensions, durable protection, and a feature set usually associated with larger premium models gives the Watch X3 Mini a clear identity. In China, Oppo has already opened pre-orders, with the non-eSIM version priced at CNY 1,799 and the eSIM model at CNY 1,999, while a global release date has not yet been announced.
