Edifier Auro Ace Puts Lyrics On The Earcup, A Rare Visual Twist At An Affordable Price

Edifier’s Auro Ace stands out in a crowded budget headphone segment for one reason that is immediately visible: its earcup can display song lyrics while music is playing. Instead of relying only on sound quality, battery life, or noise control to attract attention, the company has made the visual experience part of the product’s identity.

That approach gives the headphone a very different feel from most affordable models. Through a dot-matrix screen built into the earcup, Auro Ace turns a standard audio device into something closer to a small customizable display.

A small screen with a bigger role

When connected through Bluetooth, the earcup display can show lyrics in real time along with audio spectrum animations. Users can also adjust the text display, pixel art, and other graphics through the Edifier Connect app.

This makes the headphone more interactive than a typical wireless model. For users who want their audio gear to look distinctive, the visual feature is the clearest selling point.

Affordable, but not ordinary

Despite the unusual display, Auro Ace is positioned as an inexpensive product. In China, it is sold for 279 yuan, or around Rp 727.025.

That pricing makes the dot-matrix feature even more notable, since visual elements like this are usually found more often on lifestyle devices or products in higher price tiers. In this segment, the earcup display gives Edifier a clear differentiator.

Audio hardware and connectivity

Behind the visual layer, Edifier equips Auro Ace with 32 mm dynamic drivers. The company also uses a special acoustic chamber design that is claimed to deliver sound that feels stronger and more balanced.

For wireless use, the headphone supports Bluetooth 6.0. It also includes multipoint connectivity, allowing it to stay paired with both a smartphone and a laptop at the same time.

Edifier also provides USB plug and play support for those who still want a wired option. That gives the model more flexibility for daily use across different devices and situations.

Long battery life with fast charging

Edifier says Auro Ace can last up to 62 hours. That figure is based on the dot-matrix display being turned off and the volume set at 50 percent.

The headphone also supports fast charging. A 15-minute charge is said to provide about 11 hours of music playback.

That combination of endurance and quick top-ups makes the headphone practical for users who wear it for long periods and do not want to charge it often. The battery spec helps balance the product’s visual novelty with everyday usability.

Extra functions for daily use

Edifier also includes AI noise reduction to help reduce background noise during calls. The feature is meant to keep conversations clearer when the headphone is used for communication.

There is also a camera shortcut when Auro Ace is connected to a smartphone. Users can double-press the power button to take a photo.

These additions may not be the headline feature, but they expand the headphone’s usefulness beyond music playback. The product is not built only around the display; it also adds tools that fit everyday routines.

Light build and color choices

Auro Ace is designed to weigh 130 grams, which helps reduce pressure during extended wear. Each earcup uses soft cushioning, while the two sides are joined by an adjustable structural connector to fit different head sizes.

Edifier offers three color options: silver, black, and gold. The lightweight build, soft ear pads, and adjustable fit show that comfort remains part of the design despite the strong focus on the visual display.

For now, Auro Ace is available in China. There is no information yet on whether the headphone will be released outside China, including in Indonesia.
