Cooling Fan, 144Hz Display, and Fast Triggers Define Nubia Neo 5’s Indonesia Debut

Nubia has brought the Neo 5 Series to Indonesia with a clear pitch for mobile gamers who want stable performance, fast controls, and a display built for long sessions. The lineup arrives with two models, the Neo 5 5G and Neo 5 GT, positioned in the mid-range segment with prices starting at Rp 5.699.000.

The series stands out most through the way it combines active cooling, responsive input, and high-refresh-rate screens. Rather than relying on a single gaming feature, Nubia has built the Neo 5 Series around a package meant to support sustained play in competitive titles.

Cooling is a central part of the design

One of the main highlights is the internal cooling fan, which works together with a large cooling system. Nubia also pairs it with VC cooling and a graphene layer to help keep temperatures under control during heavy gaming loads.

This approach is aimed at reducing the risk of overheating while helping performance stay consistent. For users who spend long periods in games, better heat management can also make the device more comfortable to hold and use.

Faster controls for competitive play

Nubia also puts strong emphasis on physical controls and touch response. The series includes Dual Gaming Shoulder Triggers with a response time of under 5.5 milliseconds, while Neo Triggers 5.0 are designed so fingers do not block the screen during play.

Touch input gets a boost from Magic Touch Algorithm 3.0, which offers a response rate of up to 3,049Hz. Together, these features are meant to make gameplay feel faster, smoother, and more precise in intense moments.

Two models, two display directions

The Neo 5 GT sits at the top of the lineup with a 1.5K AMOLED panel and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also carries SGS Eye Care Low Blue Light certification, which is intended to help reduce eye fatigue during longer use.

The Neo 5 5G takes a different route with a 6.8-inch IPS display and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its configuration is aimed at keeping FPS and competitive gaming comfortable while still maintaining a smooth visual experience.

Performance and gaming support differ by model

Under the hood, the Neo 5 GT uses the MediaTek D7400 chipset and comes in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB versions. The Neo 5 5G uses the Unisoc T900 processor with 8GB/256GB memory.

Nubia also equips both devices with tools meant to improve online gaming stability. Those include NeoTurbo Engine for gaming optimization, 360° Game Antenna for stronger and more stable internet connectivity, and AI Game Space 5.0 for performance enhancement and resource management.

Battery and charging reflect the split

Battery capacity is also part of the separation between the two models. The Neo 5 GT carries a 6,120mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while the Neo 5 5G comes with a 6,050mAh battery and 45W fast charging.

That difference reinforces the positioning of each device within the lineup. The GT model is the more premium option, while the 5G version still offers a large battery for both daily use and gaming.

Availability in Indonesia

In Indonesia, pre-orders for the Nubia Neo 5 Series ran from 16-24 May 2026. Pricing is set at Rp 5.699.000 for the Nubia Neo 5 5G 8GB/256GB, Rp 6.499.000 for the Nubia Neo 5 GT 8GB/256GB, and Rp 6.999.00 for the Nubia Neo 5 GT 12GB/256GB.

With active cooling, quick shoulder triggers, fast touch response, and large batteries, the Neo 5 Series enters the market as a new option for mid-range gaming smartphones. The lineup is clearly aimed at users looking for a feature-rich gaming device with pricing that remains segmented across the two models.
