Honor’s China-only 600 series takes an unusual route: the batteries get bigger, but the Pro model gives up some chipset strength compared with the global version. That makes the lineup more appealing for endurance-focused buyers, while also creating a clear split between battery capacity and raw performance.
The most obvious changes are in power. Honor 600 in China now comes with an 8,600 mAh battery, while Honor 600 Pro gets an 8,000 mAh unit, both standing well above their global counterparts.
That shift is especially notable because the China launch follows the global release, rather than the other way around. Instead of a small regional tweak, Honor has made a meaningful adjustment to battery capacity for the domestic market while keeping much of the rest of the hardware intact.
A different trade-off for the Pro model
The biggest compromise appears on Honor 600 Pro. The China version uses the Dimensity 8550, while the global model is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
That means the China edition of the Pro model offers a larger battery, but it does not keep the same flagship-level chipset found in the international variant. Honor 600 regular, by contrast, stays consistent across both markets with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
For buyers who care most about battery life, the China lineup looks stronger on paper. For those who want the highest performance in the Pro tier, the global version still holds the advantage.
Most of the core hardware stays familiar
Outside the battery and chipset difference on Honor 600 Pro, Honor has left the main package largely unchanged. Both phones still use a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Wired fast charging also remains at 80W on both models. The Pro version continues to add 50W wireless charging, preserving one of its extra features.
That approach suggests Honor is not redesigning the series for China from the ground up. Instead, the company is adjusting one major area of the hardware profile while keeping the rest close to what was introduced globally.
Camera hardware carries over unchanged
The imaging setup also stays the same across the two markets. Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro both use a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera.
Honor 600 Pro still includes a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. With that arrangement, the distinction between the China and global versions is driven far more by battery capacity and chipset choice than by photography hardware.
Early bird pricing in China
Honor has already opened early bird sales for both models in China. Honor 600 starts at CNY 3,699 for the 12GB/256GB version, while Honor 600 Pro starts at CNY 4,699 in the same launch window.
The pricing puts the China models in a position that may appeal to different buyers for different reasons. Honor 600 stands out most for its 8,600 mAh battery, while Honor 600 Pro combines a larger 8,000 mAh battery with a weaker chipset than its global counterpart.
