Soundcore’s new Liberty 5 Pro series is pushing premium earbuds into a different kind of competition. Instead of focusing only on music playback, the lineup is built around call clarity, and that approach has already earned a Guinness World Records title for the world’s best call quality in earbuds.
That recognition matters because it was based on independent laboratory testing rather than marketing claims. Soundcore also said the device was compared directly with 14 global flagship models from brands including Apple, Sony, Bose, and Samsung.
A premium earbud aimed at communication
The Liberty 5 Pro series takes a different route in a crowded premium TWS market. While many high-end models emphasize sound for listening, Soundcore is positioning this one as a tool for cutting through background noise in real conversations.
That focus becomes most relevant in places where voice clarity usually suffers. Busy roads, subway stations, and crowded meeting rooms are the situations Soundcore highlights for the device.
AI and microphone hardware do most of the work
At the center of the system is the ANKER Thus AI chip. Soundcore describes it as the world’s first neural in-memory computing AI audio chip, and says it processes audio data 150 times faster than the previous generation.
The chip works with 8 external microphones and 2 bone-conduction sensors. Together, they are designed to capture sound from multiple directions and detect vibrations directly from the jawbone.
Soundcore says this setup helps the earbuds separate the user’s voice from surrounding noise in real time. The company also claims the system keeps working even when the user speaks softly or in a whisper.
Another notable claim is that Liberty 5 Pro can process more than 384,000 noise signals per second. That figure reflects how aggressively the system filters interference to keep conversations clear.
Built for calls, meetings, and voice control
Soundcore is clearly aiming the Liberty 5 Pro series at online meetings, business calls, and professional communication. That makes the earbuds stand apart from many models that still treat voice features as secondary to entertainment.
The lineup includes AI Voice Isolation, which is meant to preserve voice clarity when the user speaks softly. It also adds AI Audio Enhancer, which Soundcore says can reduce Bluetooth audio loss by up to 65 percent.
The feature set goes beyond call handling. Offline Voice Control supports 20 voice commands without an internet connection, including commands such as “Answer call” and “Raise volume.”
There is also AI Translation with real-time support for more than 100 languages. That puts the earbuds closer to a communication device than a standard listening accessory.
Two versions, both aimed at the premium tier
Soundcore is releasing the series in two models: Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max. The Liberty 5 Pro is priced at $169, while the Liberty 5 Pro Max costs $229.
Both models will be available through soundcore.com, Amazon, and global electronics stores starting in May 2026. With that pricing, Soundcore appears to be targeting a premium segment that is increasingly paying attention to call quality as much as sound performance.
The combination of a world record, heavy AI processing, and productivity-focused features makes the Liberty 5 Pro series one of Soundcore’s most ambitious entries in the premium TWS space. It also reflects a wider shift in earbuds, where clear human communication is becoming just as important as music detail.
