Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup may be in line for a meaningful software boost, with two Galaxy AI features from the Galaxy S26 reportedly set to arrive through a June update. For Galaxy S25 owners who were disappointed when new One UI 8.5 features did not appear immediately on their devices, the rumor has offered a fresh reason to wait for the next software rollout.
The two functions drawing the most attention are Summarize Notifications and Priority Notifications. Summarize Notifications is designed to condense long alerts into shorter, easier-to-read updates, while Priority Notifications pushes the most important messages to the top so users are less likely to miss critical information.
These tools are part of Galaxy AI and first debuted with the Galaxy S26 series. If they do reach the Galaxy S25 family, the update would give Samsung’s older flagship line a notable advantage without requiring users to move to a newer model.
PhoneArena reported on May 28, 2026 that the June update could bring both features to the Galaxy S25. The report also linked the claim to leaker Tarun Vats, who said the rollout was expected next month.
The rumored list of eligible devices includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung has not issued any official statement on whether the features will actually be distributed to those models.
Vats also stressed that the information remains a rumor, so the claim should be treated cautiously. Samsung has not confirmed that the June update will deliver either Galaxy AI feature to the Galaxy S25 series.
Even so, the prospect has drawn interest because many Galaxy S25 users want broader access to Galaxy AI through software updates. That expectation has become more important as software support increasingly shapes how long users stay with a brand.
At the same time, the Galaxy S25 series still lacks several other features. The list mentioned so far includes Now Nudge, 24MP camera support, and the video softening feature.
One UI 8.5 has still been viewed positively by many users despite the complaints about missing AI tools. Reports shared on Reddit suggest that most users felt their devices ran more smoothly after the update, and some also claimed better battery life.
A few minor bugs were still mentioned, but they were not described as seriously affecting daily use. That has helped keep the update’s overall reception positive, even if it did not deliver every feature some users expected.
The situation also highlights a broader demand for clearer communication around Galaxy software updates. Owners of relatively recent flagship phones want Samsung to be more transparent about which features will reach older models and when they will arrive.
That expectation has grown as rollout patterns appear uneven across the Galaxy ecosystem. Samsung previously brought the fingerprint accuracy improvement to the Galaxy S25 FE before other devices in the series, showing that feature distribution does not always move in a uniform order.
For now, the possibility of a June update remains unconfirmed. Until Samsung says otherwise, Galaxy S25 users will have to wait and see whether Summarize Notifications and Priority Notifications truly make their way down from Galaxy S26 to the older flagship lineup.
