At Just 5.99 Mm, OPPO Pad 6 Still Packs A 10,420mAh Battery And Dimensity 9500s

OPPO has taken an unusual route with the Pad 6, packing flagship-level hardware into a body that measures just 5.99 mm thick. That combination puts the tablet in a narrow category of devices that aim for extreme portability without giving up battery life or performance.

The device was introduced in China alongside the Reno 16 series, and OPPO is positioning it as more than a large-screen entertainment tablet. Its feature set points strongly toward productivity, with tools for multitasking, note-taking, and cross-device use built into the experience.

A large display built for work and multitasking

At the center of the OPPO Pad 6 is a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 3K resolution of 3,000 x 2,120 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The 7:5 aspect ratio gives the screen extra vertical room, which is useful when reading documents or running two apps side by side.

OPPO also offers a Soft Light version for selected configurations. This variant uses an anti-glare layer that is claimed to reduce reflections by up to 87 percent, making the tablet easier to use in bright environments.

High-end performance in a slim frame

Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, a 3nm chipset that OPPO says can reach an AnTuTu score of up to 3.06 million. That level of performance places the tablet firmly in premium territory.

To support that chip, OPPO equips the Pad 6 with a 10,420mAh battery and 67W Flash Charge. The goal is clear: long endurance for heavy use, paired with fast replenishment when the battery runs low.

Thin body, heavy-duty battery

The tablet’s 5.99 mm thickness is one of its strongest selling points. Despite that slim profile, it still weighs around 577 grams and manages to house a large battery inside a 12-inch-class chassis.

This balance is notable because thin tablets often force compromises in either battery capacity or processing power. OPPO is trying to avoid that trade-off by keeping both elements at a high level.

Built around productivity features

OPPO is not framing the Pad 6 as a device for media consumption alone. It includes floating window support for running multiple apps, a PC-style file management system, and cross-device integration with OPPO phones.

The tablet also supports a separately sold stylus, while its AI-based note-taking functions can analyze, summarize, and organize notes automatically. That makes it relevant for students, professionals, and anyone working with long documents.

Another practical feature lets the tablet share a 5G connection directly from a nearby phone without manual hotspot setup. For entertainment, OPPO adds six speakers, while both the front and rear cameras are 8 megapixels.

ColorOS 16 and available versions

The Pad 6 runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, bringing several integrated AI tools. Among them are AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, Master Cut for automatic video editing, plus AI Mind Assistant and AI Mind Space.

OPPO sells the tablet in Galaxy Silver, Deep Space Gray, and Starlight Blue. It is also available in a standard model and a Soft Light Edition, giving buyers a choice between regular display use and a more glare-resistant screen option.

Pricing in China and wider availability

In China, the OPPO Pad 6 comes in four memory configurations. The 8GB/256GB version is priced at 3,499 yuan, while the top 16GB/512GB model costs 4,299 yuan.

OPPO has not confirmed a global release schedule yet. Still, the earlier OPPO Pad 5 reached markets outside China, including Southeast Asia, which leaves open the possibility of the Pad 6 appearing in Indonesia and other regions later on.
