iPhone 18 Pro Leak Puts Cherry Color in Position to Challenge Cosmic Orange

Apple’s next Pro model is already drawing attention for a detail that sits well before performance specs or software updates: color. Among the latest leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro, Cherry has emerged as the most eye-catching option and may be positioned to take the spotlight from Cosmic Orange.

The red shade is being described as a deep, refined tone rather than a bright product-red style finish. That distinction matters, because the leaked color palette suggests Apple is leaning into a more premium look while still giving the Pro line a bolder identity.

A new color strategy for the Pro lineup

The Cherry variant surfaced after tech leaker Sonny Dickson shared images of iPhone 18 Pro dummy units. From those visuals, Cherry stands out as a dark red that feels more elegant than the red finishes Apple has used before.

Alongside Cherry, Apple is also rumored to be preparing light blue, dark gray or black, and silver. The silver finish is said to resemble the one used on the iPhone 17 Pro, which reinforces the sense that Apple is keeping some continuity in the lineup while still refreshing the overall presentation.

Design changes appear to be subtle

Despite the attention on new finishes, the iPhone 18 Pro is not expected to undergo a major redesign. The device is said to retain the design language currently used across the Pro family.

That approach would make the next generation feel more like a refinement than a full transformation. In that scenario, color could become the clearest visual difference for buyers at a glance.

Display and camera updates are also in the mix

Other leaks point to a smaller Dynamic Island, which would free up slightly more screen space. If that change arrives, it would likely be more noticeable in daily use than any major shift in the phone’s outer shape.

The camera system is also rumored to receive an upgrade through variable aperture technology on the main lens. This setup would allow the camera to adjust how much light enters more flexibly, which could improve photo and video results in low light while also offering better control over depth of field.

Price may stay unchanged

Amid the reported changes, one of the more notable claims is that Apple may keep the iPhone 18 Pro priced at the same level as the iPhone 17 Pro. That would make the model more appealing if it arrives with design refinements and camera improvements without a higher starting price.

For now, Apple has not commented on any of these leaks. Still, the growing set of rumors has already put the iPhone 18 Pro in the spotlight, with Cherry shaping up as the color most likely to challenge the appeal of Cosmic Orange.
