Galaxy S27 Pro Could Deliver Ultra-Level Battery Life Without the S Pen Compromise

Samsung’s Galaxy S27 lineup is already shaping up to include one of the more unusual premium models in recent memory. The rumored Galaxy S27 Pro is said to pair a 5,000mAh battery with a more compact body, while leaving out the S Pen entirely.

That combination gives the phone a very specific identity. It appears aimed at buyers who want flagship-level endurance and features, but do not want to move into the larger Ultra category.

A compact model with Ultra-level battery capacity

The battery rumor comes from the X account Kro (@kro_itnyang), which says the Galaxy S27 Pro will carry a 5,000mAh cell. That figure matches the battery capacity associated with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, even though the S27 Pro is expected to be smaller.

The contrast becomes more striking when the wider Galaxy S27 family is taken into account. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to use a silicon-carbon battery in the 5,500mAh to 6,000mAh range, which would place the Pro below the top model but still firmly in premium territory.

Sizing the phone between Plus and Ultra

The display size is also part of the story. The Galaxy S27 Pro is said to use a panel of around 6.5 inches, which makes it smaller than the 6.7-inch Galaxy S26+ and the 6.9-inch Galaxy S26 Ultra.

At the same time, that screen size is still slightly above the 6.3-inch display of the standard Galaxy S26. That positioning suggests Samsung may be building the Galaxy S27 Pro to fill a gap between the Plus and Ultra models.

No S Pen, but a more focused premium package

One of the clearest differences from the Ultra is the absence of the S Pen. Samsung is reportedly keeping its stylus feature for the highest-end model, while the Pro variant follows a different formula.

That approach should appeal to users who want a premium device without the bulk that usually comes with the Ultra line. It also hints that Samsung may be separating its flagship choices more clearly by size and feature set rather than by performance alone.

Camera hardware may echo the Ultra

The Galaxy S27 Pro is also rumored to borrow heavily from the Ultra in the camera department. The reported rear setup includes a 200-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel camera with All Lenses on Prism, or ALoP.

If that configuration proves accurate, the Pro could bring a very high-end imaging package into a more compact phone. A 12-megapixel front camera is also said to be part of the setup.

Flagship chipset and early launch timing

On the performance side, the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Other details such as RAM, storage, and additional supporting features have not been revealed yet.

Even so, the chipset choice points to a clear flagship focus. The phone is also said to launch early next year alongside the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Ultra.

For now, the Galaxy S27 Pro remains a leak rather than an official announcement. Still, the combination of a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.5-inch display, Ultra-style camera hardware, and no S Pen makes it one of the most closely watched Galaxy S27 models so far.
