An industrial fan priced at around Rp 11 million has become a point of reference in questions over reported spending for the Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih program. The issue concerns information about a possible procurement of 1.8 million fans valued at Rp 1.8 trillion, for which no official details had been provided during the discussion.
The gap between household and industrial equipment is central to the debate. Standing fans sold through online marketplaces were cited at about Rp 300,000 to Rp 338,000 per unit, while some Imatsu mobile drum fan models are priced in the tens of millions of rupiah.
Industrial Models Behind the Price Discussion
Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono pointed to an Imatsu MDF model during a working meeting, while stressing that he did not know the procurement details. He referred to a listed price of Rp 11.465.000 for a model resembling the industrial fan under discussion.
The Imatsu MDF-900-TZ-HF is among the products closest to that figure. One marketplace listed the unit at around Rp 11.464.000, although pricing differs by model, size, specification, distributor, and time of sale.

The MDF-900-TZ-HF has a 900-millimeter blade diameter and measures 106 x 56 x 105 centimeters. It weighs about 30 kilograms and uses a wheeled frame for movement between work areas.
PT Industrial Multi Fan states that this model delivers airflow of up to 19,200 CMH and reaches speeds of up to 700 RPM. It operates at 750 watts on 220 volts and has a noise level of about 70 decibels.
The black unit uses premium heavy-duty steel, designed for durability and resistance to impact. Its larger construction and mobility distinguish it from a conventional household standing fan.
Another Option Uses a Brushless DC Motor
The Imatsu MDF-36-NB-LBN is another portable industrial model in the same broad price bracket. It has 36-inch polypropylene blades, measures 108 x 50 x 123 centimeters, and weighs about 48 kilograms.
This model uses a 500-watt brushless DC motor on 220 volts rather than the 750-watt configuration of the MDF-900-TZ-HF. It can reach 650 RPM and provides seven speed settings, while its 4-inch wheels support portability.
Imatsu positions these industrial fans for ventilation in factories, warehouses, workshops, laboratories, hospitals, and public facilities. Larger MDF product lines, with fan sizes ranging from 0.9 meters to 2 meters, are cited at about Rp 17.7 million to Rp 29.9 million per unit.
PT Industrial Multi Fan has operated since 1988 and is based on Jalan Hayam Wuruk in West Jakarta. The Imatsu MDF series is stated to meet SNI standards and to have passed testing at a Komite Akreditasi Nasional laboratory.
The products are also listed as members of the Air Movement and Control Association International. The MDF-36 series includes a one-year service warranty.
DPR Seeks Clarity on Reported Procurement
The budget question was raised by Mufti Anam, a Commission VI member from the PDI Perjuangan faction, during a working meeting with Ferry on Wednesday (16/7/2026). Mufti said information about 1.8 million fans worth Rp 1.8 trillion had circulated without an official government explanation.
Ferry said the matter was outside the authority of the Ministry of Cooperatives. He nevertheless noted that industrial fans can cost tens of millions of rupiah per unit.
“But it seems that if the fan is the model available in Imatsu MDF, its price on Shopee is Rp 11.465.000. But I do not know exactly,” Ferry said at the meeting.
Questions remain over the basis of the reported budget, including the number of units, product type, and total value. No official explanation on the alleged fan procurement for Kopdes Merah Putih had been presented by the time of the meeting.
