Samsung’s Galaxy A27 is starting to take shape through its first CAD-based leak, and the clearest change points to a more current front design. The render, shared by OnLeaks, shows Samsung moving away from the old waterdrop-style notch in favor of a centered punch-hole camera.
That shift gives the mid-range phone a cleaner look from the front, while keeping the display flat at around 6.7 inches. The overall impression is that Samsung is using design updates to make the Galaxy A27 feel closer to its newer and more premium-looking Galaxy models.
A cleaner front with a centered punch-hole
The most immediately visible change is the camera cutout on the display. Instead of the “Infinity-U” notch used on earlier Galaxy A models, the Galaxy A27 is said to adopt a punch-hole placed in the middle of the screen.
This change does not appear to affect the display size, since the panel is still expected to measure about 6.7 inches. What it does change is the visual balance of the front side, giving the device a simpler and more modern appearance when viewed head-on.
Key Island remains part of the design
Samsung is also keeping the “Key Island” side layout, according to the CAD render. The volume keys and power button are grouped in a raised section on the frame, continuing a familiar Galaxy A-series design cue.
The power button appears slightly recessed, which suggests the side-mounted fingerprint sensor may still be in use. That would mean the Galaxy A27 could continue with a capacitive fingerprint reader integrated into the power key rather than moving to an optical sensor under the display.
This detail matters because it places the Galaxy A27 in a different position from some other devices that use Key Island but rely on in-display fingerprint scanning. Samsung seems to be preserving a recognizable identity while keeping the hardware setup suited to the mid-range category.
Rear design stays familiar
At the back, the Galaxy A27 still carries a triple-camera arrangement alongside an LED flash. The module is described as looking similar to the Galaxy A26, although the lens rings appear to have received small design changes.
The body itself does not seem to be dramatically different from its predecessor. The leak suggests Samsung is refining the look rather than rebuilding the phone from scratch, with the front and camera area getting the main visual updates.
