The most eye-catching detail in Xiaomi’s next T-series leak is not the design, but the hardware underneath it. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is now linked to a 7,000 mAh battery, 100W wired charging, and a periscope zoom camera that could give it a sharper edge over rivals in the premium mid-range segment.
The lineup is still expected to include two models, the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. According to WinFuture, Xiaomi appears to be focusing on refinement rather than a full visual overhaul, with the overall look staying familiar while the changes concentrate on materials and finishing.
Battery and charging take center stage
Power hardware is one of the clearest differentiators in the series. The Xiaomi 17T is said to carry a 6,500 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the Pro version moves up to 7,000 mAh.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro also reportedly adds 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. That combination would place it in a stronger position for users who care about both speed and convenience.
Chipsets split the two models
The performance setup also points to a clear separation between the standard model and the Pro. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro is tipped to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.
Both devices are said to feature 12 GB of RAM. Storage options listed in the leak include 256 GB and 512 GB for both models, although another detail suggests the Pro variant could also reach 1 TB.
Display changes favor the Pro
The screens are another area where Xiaomi seems ready to widen the gap. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to use a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with a 2756 x 1268 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is said to step up to a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2772 x 1280 resolution. Its 144Hz refresh rate should make animations and general interaction feel smoother.
In separate descriptions, the Xiaomi 17T display is also mentioned with a 1.5K resolution. That keeps the standard model positioned as a more accessible option without pushing it into full flagship territory.
Camera hardware is where the Pro separates itself
The rear camera setup is another major point of interest. The Xiaomi 17T is said to include a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, plus a 32 MP front camera.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro appears to keep a similar base level in terms of main sensor resolution, but it adds a 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom and a periscope lens. That should make the Pro more appealing for long-range shooting and more flexible camera use overall.
A 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a 32 MP front camera are also expected on the Pro. There is also mention of Leica tuning for the Xiaomi 17T, which could add another layer of appeal if it reaches the final retail version.
Global launch plans are starting to look clearer
WinFuture says the leak points to an earlier launch window, although no official schedule has been confirmed. The amount of detail now circulating usually suggests the product is already deep into preparation.
India is also mentioned as a possible target market, which implies the Xiaomi 17T series is not being shaped for only one region. Taken together, the leak suggests Xiaomi is aiming for a familiar design with stronger day-to-day upgrades, especially in battery life, charging, performance, display speed, and camera capability.
If the current specifications remain intact, the Xiaomi 17T Pro looks like the model most likely to attract attention. Its mix of a 144Hz display, Dimensity 9500, 7,000 mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and periscope zoom gives it the most aggressive spec sheet in the lineup.
