Jennifer Lopez Covers Ben Affleck’s Infinity Tattoo, The Name Is Still Gone

Jennifer Lopez appears to have covered up the tattoo she once shared with Ben Affleck, marking another visible sign that the couple’s post-divorce chapter has moved further away from the matching body art they once used to symbolize commitment. The updated ink surfaced in a Memorial Day weekend social media post, where Lopez wore a low-cut white Antica Sartoria crochet dress and showed a partial view of the design on her ribs.

The tattoo still appears to be the same infinity symbol, but the name of her ex seems to have been removed from inside the design. The shift comes after months of speculation that the singer was either beginning to erase the tribute or disguising it with makeup.

A tattoo that once matched the relationship

Lopez and Affleck publicly marked their relationship with coordinated tattoos on Valentine’s Day 2023, sharing the gesture on Instagram with the message, “Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍.” Affleck got a matching tattoo with their initials, while Lopez’s version featured an infinity symbol with both names included.

The body art later drew attention again after the couple separated and filed for divorce in August 2024. Since then, observers have tracked changes to the tattoo as Lopez appeared in outfits that exposed her ribs and side, prompting renewed discussion about whether the tribute had been altered or hidden.

How the revised ink came into view

The latest look appeared in a carousel of Memorial Day weekend photos Lopez shared with her son, Max. In one image, the singer wore a white string bikini, and in another she posed in the crochet dress that revealed the altered tattoo placement high on her side.

Lopez captioned the post, “Spending the day with the people I love,” keeping the focus on family rather than the tattoo. Still, the visible change to the design quickly stood out to fans who had followed the evolution of the ink since the relationship ended.

Speculation had already built up earlier

Attention around the tattoo did not begin with the Memorial Day post. In December, fans noticed that the design seemed to be fading during a performance, when Lopez wore a small bra top and briefs on stage.

At the time, the visible change led to speculation that the tattoo had been partly removed, but later observations suggested makeup may have been used to cover it instead. An anonymous commenter on @deuxmoi also claimed that Lopez had replaced her ex’s name with a hummingbird the previous year.

That detail drew interest because the bird is described as one of Lopez’s personal talismans, which made it a possible symbolic replacement for the former relationship tribute. For now, the updated tattoo looks like a subtler version of the original, with the core infinity symbol still intact and the personal reference to Affleck apparently no longer visible.
