Billie Eilish has returned to a familiar red tone, marking her second hair transformation in just a few months. New photos and video shared by @Deuxmoi show the singer with lightened auburn hair, a noticeable change from the jet-black shade she is most often seen wearing.
The images, posted on May 28, show Eilish in a brown robe while her long hair is styled straight with a side part. In the final clip, she is seen leaving the salon in an Avril Lavigne tank top, baggy black shorts, and a relaxed, casual look.
A Familiar Color Returns
This is not the first time Eilish has moved away from her darker signature style. She last wore red hair in 2021, when she revealed a brief dye job to followers shortly after going brunette.
At the time, she wrote in an Instagram Stories video, “Took the blonde out and went red for a week hehe.” The shade then leaned more strawberry blonde than the deeper auburn tone seen in the latest photos.
A Second Change in Recent Months
The singer’s new look also follows another visible hair shift earlier in the spring. While promoting her concert film at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas on April 16, she appeared onstage with director James Cameron and showed lighter roots.
That appearance made it clear that her hair was already moving away from the black style that has defined much of her recent image. Brunette strands were visible around the crown, and she wore a navy Ralph Lauren polo shirt with baggy blue jeans and sneakers.
Eilish’s Hair Has Shifted Often Over the Years
Eilish has experimented with several shades over time, including cherry red roots in 2023. Her natural hair color is dark blonde, and she spent years wearing her hair bleached.
The latest red look arrives as attention also centers on her upcoming concert film, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D). The film, directed and produced by James Cameron, is set to debut in theaters next month and becomes her second concert film after 2021’s Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.
