Federal forces arrested two key figures linked to Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, known as “El Chapito.” Mario Alfredo Lindoro Navidad, “El 7,” identified as Guzmán’s brother-in-law and financial operator, was detained along with Mario Lindoro Elenes, “El Niño,” his father-in-law and also a presumed financial operator.
The operation occurred in Jalisco, where authorities from the Defense, Navy, Federal Prosecutor’s Office (FGR), National Guard (GN), and the Secretariat of Security and Civilian Protection (SSPC) coordinated the arrests. According to the SSPC, investigations led to the identification of two Zapopan residences sheltering criminals connected to a drug trafficking syndicate.
After gathering sufficient evidence, a judge authorized search warrants for the properties. During the raid in the Bajío Zapopan and Vallarta Universidad neighborhoods, officials captured the two men, aged 44 and 69. Authorities seized four firearms, drug doses, three luxury vehicles, mobile phones, and electronic devices from these locations.
Operation Against "Los Chapitos" Network
A parallel operation unfolded in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, where security forces detained Carlos Gabriel Reynoso García, “El Pollo.” He is considered the leader of a cell called “Los Jordán,” which maintains ties to “Los Chapitos.” Another individual, Jesús Arturo Dávalos, was also apprehended during the mission.
Officials located “El Pollo” in the Los Caracoles neighborhood while traveling in a vehicle with an accomplice. Upon stopping the vehicle for security inspection, agents found two firearms, 51 rounds of ammunition, a bag of marijuana, and radio communication and telephony equipment. The arrested men were 37 and 40 years old.
