Soundcore is pushing its premium earbuds further into AI territory with the launch of the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max. The more advanced model stands out immediately because its charging case is no longer just a power accessory, but a control hub with a fully functional 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen.
The two models were introduced at Anker Day 2026 in New York City, with pricing set at €179.99 for the Liberty 5 Pro and €249.99 for the Liberty 5 Pro Max. Both are built around Anker’s new Thus AI chip, which the company says delivers up to 150 times more processing power than the previous flagship soundcore generation.
AI sits at the center of both models
Anker has made AI a defining part of this release rather than a side feature. The Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max both use 9.2 mm drivers, support Dolby Atmos, and include an eight-microphone noise reduction system.
The company also says the two earbuds have received Guinness World Records certification as the TWS products with the clearest call quality. On top of that, both models include Super-Resolution audio and support for 20 voice commands, extending the role of voice control across daily use.
Liberty 5 Pro focuses on adaptive control
The Liberty 5 Pro offers the simpler flagship package of the pair, but it still brings a strong feature set. Its Adaptive ANC 4.0 automatically adjusts noise cancellation according to the surrounding environment.
Users can also change the level of noise reduction across five steps using the mini touchscreen on the charging case. For sound, the model includes Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio with head tracking, along with HearID 5.0 personalized sound profiles.
Anker is offering the Liberty 5 Pro in Midnight, Titanium Blue, Titanium Pink, and Cloud White.
The Pro Max adds a screen with more function
The Liberty 5 Pro Max moves beyond basic case controls with a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen that can handle more than simple status checks. It can be used to control ANC, manage multipoint pairing, and customize the display itself.
Its most distinctive feature is the AI Voice Recorder. A double-tap on the case starts recording, and the device then processes the recording, transcript, and speaker-identified summary entirely on-device without an internet connection.
Anker says the case can store up to 12 hours of audio. The Liberty 5 Pro Max comes in Midnight and Champagne.
The software layer is expanding too
The hardware launch is only part of Anker’s broader AI push. The company is also bringing VibeOS into the soundcore app as a new AI layer, with the Anka voice assistant designed to reduce how much users need to interact with the screen.
That move suggests Anker wants AI to shape the entire soundcore ecosystem, not only the earbuds themselves. The Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max are already available through soundcore’s website, Amazon, and retail partners.
