GMKtec is preparing to push the EVO-X3 onto the global stage on 29 June 2026, and the company is already framing it as a high-end mini PC with unusually ambitious hardware. Early access registration opens earlier on 22 June 2026, with a $20 coupon offered to prospective buyers.
The launch matters because GMKtec is not waiting to reveal the full story at retail availability. Instead, it has already confirmed most of the core specifications, giving buyers a clear view of where the EVO-X3 sits in the premium mini PC market.
Two AMD options, one performance-first direction
For the first global release, the EVO-X3 will ship with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. GMKtec also plans a Ryzen AI Max+ 495 variant later in 2026.
That staged approach suggests the company is building the lineup carefully rather than launching every version at once. It also places the EVO-X3 close to the EVO-X2 in spirit, since that model also used a similar chip.
Memory and storage are the headline features
The strongest selling point of the EVO-X3 is its support for up to 128GB of RAM. GMKtec also says the system can handle up to 16TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, which is a rare figure in a compact desktop.
Those numbers make the EVO-X3 more than a small-form-factor machine for casual use. The combination of large memory capacity and extensive storage is aimed at users who need a compact system without giving up room for demanding workloads.
Expansion gets a meaningful upgrade
Compared with the EVO-X2, the new model adds one OCuLink Gen 4 port. That gives the system a more direct path for external PCIe expansion, which is an important detail for users who may want to scale beyond the built-in hardware.
GMKtec also includes one USB4 port rated at 40Gbps. For display output, the EVO-X3 supports dual displays through USB4 and HDMI 2.1.
Cooling and connectivity are built for heavier use
The company says a three-fan cooling setup will help the AMD APU reach up to 140W performance. In a mini PC with a slim chassis, that kind of cooling arrangement is central to keeping sustained performance in check.
GMKtec also highlights WiFi 7, which adds a modern wireless option for users who prioritize fast and stable connectivity.
Integrated graphics remain a major part of the appeal
The EVO-X3 uses Radeon 8060S integrated graphics. GMKtec says the iGPU can deliver performance comparable to an RTX 4070 Laptop, which means many users may not need an external graphics solution for everyday or even heavier creative tasks.
At the same time, OCuLink Gen 4 still leaves the door open for eGPU expansion. That balance gives the EVO-X3 a rare mix of strong integrated graphics and future flexibility.
Pricing is still missing, but the positioning is clear
GMKtec has not announced an official price yet, but the hardware list makes the target audience obvious. The EVO-X3 is being positioned as a premium mini PC focused on performance, expansion, and large-capacity configurations.
With the global launch date already set, the remaining question is how GMKtec will price a system that combines high-end AMD silicon, 128GB RAM support, and advanced connectivity in such a compact body.
