HiCOP used IndobuildTech Expo 2026 to show that heat pump technology is no longer limited to pool heating. The brand introduced a second direction as well, bringing a water chiller designed for ice bath and recovery needs into the same product lineup.

The two launches were presented by PT Simed Prakarsa Indonesia under the HiCOP Heatpump Water Heater brand at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, during the exhibition held on 8–12 July 2026. The company positioned both products as energy-saving options for residential users, hotels, sports facilities, and fitness centers.

Two products, two different water temperature needs

HiCOP unveiled the Swimming Pool Portable (SPP) Series as a new pool water heater aimed at larger swimming pools. The series offers capacity of up to 25 kilowatts and a Coefficient of Performance, or COP, of up to 8.0.

A COP of 8.0 means the system can produce up to eight times more heat energy than the electrical energy it consumes. HiCOP also said the unit can reduce electricity use by as much as eight times compared with conventional electric water heaters.

Product Main Function Key Specification Primary Use
HiCOP SPP Series Swimming pool water heating Up to 25 kW, COP up to 8.0 Larger swimming pools
HiCOP IBC Series Water cooling for ice bath Maintains stable water temperature Ice bath, sauna, and recovery facilities

The SPP Series also comes with Internet of Things connectivity. Through that feature, users can monitor and control the system from a smartphone in real time.

Ice bath demand gives the second launch a wider market

HiCOP also introduced the Ice Bath Chiller (IBC) Series, a cooling system built for cold-water therapy. The product follows the growing interest in ice bath use among athletes, fitness operators, rehabilitation centers, and everyday users.

The IBC Series is designed to keep water temperature stable for private ice bath setups, gyms, sauna areas, recovery pools, and sports rehabilitation facilities. That makes the product part of a broader system for managing water temperature in both wellness and recovery settings.

According to Dewi Rulan, Director of PT Simed Prakarsa Indonesia, the launch reflects the company’s commitment to delivering innovation that emphasizes energy efficiency, ease of use, and sustainability. She said the product development was intended to answer market needs in both heating and cooling systems.

“We believe that innovation is not only about introducing new products, but also about creating solutions that provide added value through energy efficiency, ease of use, and sustainability,” Dewi said.

Built as a technology showcase for contractors and operators

Beyond the product launch, HiCOP’s presence at IndobuildTech Expo 2026 also served as an education platform for heat pump technology. Visitors were able to consult the technical team directly about product selection and how the systems can be applied across different project types.

The company aimed at a broad visitor base, including contractors, architects, property developers, hotel operators, sports facility managers, distributors, and general consumers. With these two products, HiCOP is pushing heat pump adoption in Indonesia as an alternative to conventional water heating and cooling systems that uses less energy.
