Vivo X Fold 6 Global Nears Launch, Indonesia Certification Reveals More Than Expected

Vivo X Fold 6 global is moving closer to a wider release after appearing in Indonesia’s SDPPI certification database. The listing for model V2559 is a strong sign that the foldable’s international rollout is entering a more serious phase.

Its appearance in Indonesia is also notable because it marks the device’s first emergence on a global certification platform, after earlier being spotted only in Europe’s EEC certification. For a foldable flagship, that usually means the path to launch is becoming clearer.

Big displays, high brightness, and adaptive 120Hz

The Vivo X Fold 6 carries an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED main display and a 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED cover screen. Both panels support adaptive 120Hz refresh rates and are said to reach up to 5,000 nits of brightness.

Vivo also includes eye-protection technology to improve comfort during longer use. That combination keeps the phone relevant for outdoor visibility and everyday multitasking on a large foldable screen.

Display Component Specification Notes

Cover Screen 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED Adaptive 120Hz, up to 5,000 nits

Flagship performance and a notably large battery

Under the hood, the foldable is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition. It is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

One of the biggest highlights is the BlueVolt 7,000 mAh battery, a capacity that stands out in the foldable category. Charging support includes 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

The device also runs OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16. Vivo adds multitasking features such as Atomic Workbench to better support the larger foldable format.

200 MP camera system with ZEISS support

Photography is another major selling point, led by a 200 MP main camera. The rear setup also includes a 50 MP ZEISS APO periscope telephoto camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera.

The imaging system is supported by Vivo’s V3+ image processing chip and is compatible with a telephoto extender accessory. On the front, there are two 20 MP selfie cameras, one for the outer screen and one for the main display.

Built for durability, but launch timing remains open

Vivo has also given attention to durability. The Vivo X Fold 6 carries IP58 and IP59 ratings, offering protection against dust and water splashes.

In China, the foldable is available in Green, White, Gray, and Black/Gold. Vivo has not announced a formal global launch schedule yet, but the Indonesian certification suggests the international launch process is advancing steadily.

Earlier reports also indicated that the device could arrive in India in October 2026. That timeline has not been officially confirmed, so the certification trail remains the clearest signal that the global debut is drawing nearer.
