Jensen Huang Rejects AI Bubble Fears, Says Nvidia Still Sees Massive Demand

Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang has pushed back against growing talk of an AI bubble, saying demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure remains exceptionally strong. His comments signal that the company still sees long-term expansion rather than a short-lived surge.

Speaking in Tokyo on Wednesday, July 15, Huang said, “We are still very far from an AI bubble.” He added that the appetite for AI infrastructure is still running at a very high level.

Infrastructure Demand Still Appears Strong

The remarks come as investors continue to question whether spending on AI has moved too far ahead of actual profits. For Nvidia, however, the current market signals point in the opposite direction.

Huang said the development of AI infrastructure remains a work in progress and could take about a decade to fully mature. That view reinforces Nvidia’s position that the market has not yet reached saturation.

Japan’s Opportunity in Physical AI

During his Tokyo visit, Huang also highlighted Japan’s potential to lead in physical AI, a field centered on robots and other hardware that can operate autonomously in the real world. He said the country is well positioned because of its long history in precision manufacturing and large-scale production.

According to Huang, that combination could help accelerate AI adoption across industrial sectors. He also said AI could help address Japan’s chronic labor shortage by strengthening the existing workforce through automation and robotics.

Sovereign AI Moves Up the Agenda

Huang further pointed to the growing importance of sovereign AI, an issue that the Japanese government is also promoting. Tokyo wants to expand domestic AI development to support national security and data protection.

He said the intelligence of a nation should be nurtured, improved, and developed independently at home. Huang also said Nvidia is preparing to announce several important sovereign AI updates this week.

Nvidia’s dominant position in the AI chip market ensures that Huang’s comments draw close attention. His latest remarks suggest that spending on AI infrastructure remains resilient even as concerns about an overheated sector continue to circulate.
