Equal Price, Different Priorities Between POCO F8 Ultra and Infinix Note 60 Ultra

The clash between POCO F8 Ultra and Infinix Note 60 Ultra is not really about who wears the Ultra badge more convincingly. Both are priced the same at Rp11,9 juta, yet each takes a different route to justify that number, with one leaning hard toward raw performance and durability while the other emphasizes display quality, battery size, and a more refined visual identity.

That difference becomes clear once the two phones are viewed through daily use. POCO F8 Ultra is built for users who want stronger hardware headroom and tougher protection, while Infinix Note 60 Ultra targets those who value a brighter and faster screen, a bigger battery, and more decorative design elements.

Performance sets the tone

The most visible separation starts with the chipset. POCO F8 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is described as Qualcomm’s top flagship processor, while Infinix Note 60 Ultra relies on MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate.

The reference also gives a clear reminder about the class gap between those platforms. Devices in Snapdragon 8 series territory are positioned against MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 series, not the Dimensity 8000 series, so the comparison already suggests that POCO is the more aggressive performer on paper.

Memory configuration follows the same pattern. Both phones use LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB storage, but POCO offers 16GB RAM with UFS 4.1, while Infinix provides 12GB RAM with UFS 4.0. That difference reinforces the idea that POCO is aimed at heavier workloads and a more demanding user base.

The screen advantage belongs to different strengths

On the front, both devices use a 32MP selfie camera placed in a punch-hole cutout. Their displays, however, are tuned for different priorities, even though both panels are AMOLED.

POCO F8 Ultra carries a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3500 nits. Infinix Note 60 Ultra uses a slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, but it raises the refresh rate to 144Hz and pushes peak brightness to 4500 nits.

That means POCO offers a larger viewing area, while Infinix focuses on smoother motion and better visibility in bright conditions. The choice here depends on whether the user prioritizes screen size or display fluidity.

Rear cameras show two different philosophies

The back panel reveals another contrast in approach. POCO F8 Ultra carries a triple-camera setup built around two 50MP sensors, including a Light Fusion 950 main camera with OIS and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom.

Infinix Note 60 Ultra also uses a triple-camera arrangement, but its emphasis is different. The main sensor is a 200MP Samsung HPE unit with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto lens that supports 3.5X optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom.

POCO also adds a BOSE subwoofer on the rear module, complementing the stereo speakers already included. That addition makes its audio identity more distinctive and supports the phone’s more performance-oriented positioning.

Design and protection help separate the two

If Infinix has one clear visual advantage, it is presentation. The back design of Note 60 Ultra comes from Pininfarina, the Italian design studio known for sports car work, and the device also includes an Active Matrix Display that can show notifications and two-dimensional visuals such as animals and other objects.

Its camera module is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, which adds another premium touch to the overall look. POCO F8 Ultra takes a more practical route instead, relying less on styling flourishes and more on functional appeal.

That practical direction is visible in the body protection as well. POCO F8 Ultra has an IP68 rating, while Infinix Note 60 Ultra is rated IP64. The result is a stronger level of protection for POCO against water exposure and general durability concerns.

Battery and charging remain closely matched

Battery capacity is one of the areas where Infinix stretches ahead. Note 60 Ultra carries a 7000 mAh battery, compared with 6500 mAh on POCO F8 Ultra.

Charging speeds are the same for the main cable and wireless options, as both support 100W wired charging through USB Type-C and 50W wireless charging. The difference appears in reverse charging features.

POCO supports 22.5W reverse wired charging, while Infinix offers 10W reverse wired charging, 10W reverse wireless charging, and bypass charging. That gives Infinix a wider set of charging-related functions, even if POCO has the stronger reverse wired output.

Shared premium extras, different target users

Despite their different priorities, the two phones still cover the premium basics. Both include an in-display fingerprint scanner, infrared blaster, NFC, and Android 16.

Color choices also reflect separate styling directions. POCO F8 Ultra is available in black and denim blue, while Infinix Note 60 Ultra comes in torino Black, Monza Red, Roma Silver, and Amalfi Blue.

With the same Rp11,9 juta price tag, the decision between the two depends on the user’s main need. POCO F8 Ultra looks stronger for performance, audio, and protection, while Infinix Note 60 Ultra stands out with a brighter 144Hz display, larger 7000 mAh battery, 200MP camera, and more luxurious design treatment.
