HP is widening its push into AI-led computing with a broad product refresh in India, and the most noticeable shift is not limited to laptops. The company has brought more than 20 new products at once, pairing new hardware with AI features designed to make its devices work more seamlessly across use cases.
At the center of that move is OmniPad 12, HP’s first Android tablet in this launch wave. The device is positioned for both work and media use, with a 12-inch multi-touch display, 90Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 400 nits.
A tablet built for lighter productivity
HP ships OmniPad 12 with a detachable keyboard, which gives the tablet a more laptop-like role when needed. The tablet weighs 600 grams on its own, rising to 650 grams when the keyboard is attached.
The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q chipset, with a six-core CPU clocked up to 2.40GHz and a Qualcomm Adreno GPU. It also carries 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS internal storage.
HP has equipped the tablet with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The front camera is meant for selfies and video calls, while the battery is rated for up to 18 hours on a single charge.
Pricing for OmniPad 12 starts at Rs 48,999. HP says the tablet will be available from June through the HP online store, Amazon, Reliance Retail, and HP World.
HP’s business laptops get a broader AI push
Beyond the tablet, HP has expanded its business laptop range in India with the EliteBook X G2, EliteBook 8 G2, and ProBook 4 G2. The three lines use processors from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, and HP says they deliver AI performance of up to 85 TOPS.
Security remains a major part of the pitch. HP has included HP Wolf Security and HP Sure View on these models, underlining the company’s focus on enterprise-ready protection.
The EliteBook X G2 starts at Rs 2,50,000, while the EliteBook 8 G2 starts at Rs 2,30,000. ProBook 4 G2 sits lower in the lineup with a starting price of Rs 1,35,000, and all three are available through the HP online store and HP Connect.
HP also introduced the EliteBoard G1a for the enterprise segment. The device comes in a keyboard PC form factor, uses an AMD processor, supports NPU performance up to 50 TOPS for AI tasks, and starts at Rs 89,900.
Consumer laptops join the AI lineup
For everyday buyers, HP has added a new OmniBook family that includes the OmniBook Ultra 14, OmniBook X, OmniBook 5, and OmniBook 3. This range broadens HP’s consumer AI PC lineup with options that span different price points and processor choices.
The OmniBook Ultra 14 with Qualcomm Snapdragon starts at Rs 1,89,999 in Stone Blue. The Intel version starts at Rs 2,14,999 and comes in Eclipse Gray and Silk Sand.
OmniBook X with Intel Ultra begins at Rs 1,69,999. OmniBook 5 starts at Rs 1,24,999 and will be sold through the HP online store and HP World.
HP says the latest OmniBook models support AI-based functions such as gesture controls and posture correction through the HP AI app. That approach suggests the company wants its consumer laptops to feel more responsive to daily habits, not just faster on paper.
AI features are becoming the common thread
HP is also rolling out HP IQ and HP NearSense for select computers. These features are designed to support device discovery, screen casting, document analysis, and meeting note capture on compatible HP products.
HP IQ is scheduled to arrive later this year on select AI PCs. With that rollout, HP is extending its strategy beyond standalone devices and toward a connected ecosystem that links hardware, software, and cross-device tasks.
The broader launch also includes enterprise products such as HP Z8 Fury G6i, HP ZGX Nano G1n AI station, HP Z4 G6i, and HP ZBook X G2i 16 through commercial channel partners. HP is also bringing the Poly G62 Video Conferencing Solution and Poly Mission Series headsets to India through commercial resellers.
