Infinix Hot 70 arrives in Indonesia with a spec sheet built to catch attention in the crowded Rp2 million smartphone tier. The biggest headline is not only its 6,000mAh battery, but also the combination of a 120Hz display, 45W charging, and a design that is clearly aimed at younger users.
The phone was introduced in May 2026 and is positioned between entry level and mid-range segments. In a market where buyers increasingly expect bigger batteries and smoother screens at lower prices, Hot 70 is designed for daily use that includes social media, video streaming, and light gaming without frequent charging breaks.
Battery life takes the lead
The strongest differentiator on the Hot 70 is its 6,000mAh battery. Infinix pairs it with 45W fast charging so the large battery does not become a burden during refills.
The device also supports 10W reverse charging. That adds another layer of flexibility for users who need to top up other devices while on the move.
Smooth display for everyday use
On the front, Infinix uses a 6.78-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. That should make scrolling, animations, and transitions feel smoother than on standard 60Hz screens.
The display also carries a 240Hz touch sampling rate. That higher response rate can help during gaming sessions and fast navigation across menus.
Performance aimed at practical needs
Inside, the Hot 70 runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate built on a 6nm process. Infinix combines it with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
This is not an elite chipset, but the configuration is meant to handle multitasking, social media, and popular games at medium settings. That matches the phone’s broader strategy of balancing features and price rather than chasing premium performance.
A bolder design direction
Infinix is also using the Hot 70 to push a more distinctive look through its Dynamic Shine Design. The concept brings up to 12 color and texture variations, with the goal of appealing to younger buyers.
One of the most notable versions is Thermo Orange, which changes appearance based on device temperature. It looks darker in cooler conditions and turns bright orange as the temperature rises.
The body is also relatively slim at around 7.49mm and weighs about 195 grams. Infinix adds Baby Smooth Coating to help reduce visible fingerprints on the surface.
Cameras, software, and extra features
For photography, the Hot 70 includes a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. The selfie camera also comes with dual LED flash to improve results in low light.
Software support is another notable point. The phone runs Android 16 with XOS 16, and Infinix promises up to three Android updates and five years of security patches.
The device also carries IP65 certification for protection against dust and light splashes. Other features mentioned for the phone include stereo DTS speakers, a side fingerprint sensor, NFC on some variants, WiFi 6, and an infrared blaster.
Price and market position
The base Infinix Hot 70 starts at around Rp2.1 million, while the highest variant with more RAM and storage reaches about Rp3.3 million. That pricing places it squarely in a segment where 120Hz displays, large batteries, and fast charging are becoming increasingly common.
As a result, competition in the Rp2 million smartphone class is intensifying across brands such as Infinix, Redmi, Tecno, and Realme. The Hot 70 enters that contest with a clear focus on battery endurance, a smoother display, and a design that stands out from the usual budget formula.
