Tecno is positioning the Pova 8 5G around one unusually large figure: an 8,000 mAh battery. The company says it is the largest battery ever used in the Pova series and can last for up to two days.
The phone is aimed at users who want longer use between charging sessions. Tecno says the battery can support up to 17.35 hours of continuous play for MOBA games.
Its pre-order price starts at Rp 3.999.000 for the 6GB/128GB configuration. That price is Rp 300.000 below the regular Rp 4.299.000 price for the same model.

Pre-orders run through July 20, 2026, and include a Tecno Watch 3 Active bonus. First sales are scheduled to begin at 00:00 WIB on July 31, 2026, across e-commerce platforms and Authorized Tecno Store outlets.
Charging and Display Features
The Tecno Pova 8 5G supports 45 Watt fast charging despite its large battery capacity. It also offers 10 Watt reverse wired charging, allowing users to share power with another device through a cable.
Another visual feature is the Alive Matrix Display around the rear camera area. It can show notifications and can be customized by the user.
Tecno Indonesia Public Relations Manager Anthoni Roderick said the device combines long battery life, reliable performance, and more stable connectivity. He also highlighted the Alive Matrix Display as part of the phone’s user-expression element.
The handset uses a 6.76-inch IPS LCD display with a 2,344 x 1,080-pixel FHD resolution. It has a 144 Hz refresh rate and includes an Eye Care Display feature.
Hardware, Cameras, and Protection
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Tecno also includes a G1 Signal Enhancement Chip and an SE1 WiFi Enhancement Chip to support connectivity stability.

The available memory options are 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor, while the front camera has 13 MP resolution.
The body measures 165.6 x 78.4 x 8.8 mm and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Tecno also states that the phone passed MIL-STD-810H durability testing.
It is available in Arc White, Graphite Black, Echo Green, and Helios Orange. Each purchase includes 256 GB of free cloud storage for three years.
In Indonesia, the device runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno promises up to two generations of operating system updates and three years of security updates.
