Xiaomi 17 Max Appears in 3C Filing, 100W Charging and 8,000mAh Battery Teased

A new Xiaomi flagship is drawing attention before any official announcement, largely because two Chinese certification listings now point in the same direction. The device believed to be the Xiaomi 17 Max has surfaced in both SRRC and 3C databases, which makes its development trail look increasingly concrete.

The latest 3C listing is especially notable because it links the phone to 100W wired fast charging. That detail, combined with earlier certification activity, has strengthened expectations that Xiaomi is preparing this model for a near-term domestic launch.

Certification trail becomes harder to ignore

The model number 2605EPN8EC had already appeared on SRRC, and its presence on 3C adds another layer of credibility to the ongoing speculation. In the smartphone market, those early regulatory listings often serve as some of the clearest signs that a device is moving closer to release.

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the Xiaomi 17 Max name yet. Even so, the repeated appearance of the same model number across certification platforms has pushed the device further into public discussion.

Battery and charging are the main draw

Among the most eye-catching rumored specifications is an 8,000mAh battery. That capacity would place the phone firmly in the large-battery category, while the reported 100W wired charging suggests Xiaomi is not willing to sacrifice charging speed for endurance.

Wireless charging is also said to be part of the package, with 50W support mentioned alongside the wired charging setup. The combination points to a device that is being shaped around practical daily use, not just long runtime on paper.

A large display, but a simpler design direction

On the front, the Xiaomi 17 Max is said to use a 6.9-inch flat OLED panel. The display is reportedly built with 1.5K resolution and may support a 144Hz refresh rate, which would keep the phone in premium territory for media and gaming.

Its design appears to differ from the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max in one important way. The Max variant is expected to skip a rear display, suggesting a more straightforward layout centered on core hardware rather than extra visual elements.

Flagship performance and high-end memory

Under the hood, the phone is rumored to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That chipset would be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, placing the device among Xiaomi’s most ambitious models.

The software package is also expected to be current, with Android 16 and HyperOS 3 mentioned for the handset. Together, those specifications indicate that Xiaomi is preparing the device with a strong performance and software foundation.

Camera setup and other premium features

The camera system is said to start with a 50MP front camera. On the back, the phone is expected to carry a triple-camera arrangement made up of a 200MP Samsung HPE main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Other reported features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, symmetrical dual speakers, and an IP68/69-rated body for dust and water resistance. The phone is also tipped to come in black and white, while some speculation suggests it may remain exclusive to China, matching the direction implied by its SRRC and 3C appearances.
