Huawei has started first sales of the Mate 80 Pro in Indonesia at Rp16.999.000. The flagship is being positioned around two main strengths: a True-to-Colour Camera 2.0 system and a 5,750 mAh battery, both aimed at users who want a phone that can handle demanding daily routines.
The device is clearly targeted at professionals who need more than standard smartphone performance. Huawei frames the Mate 80 Pro as a premium option for photography, productivity, and endurance in one package.
A camera system built around natural results
Huawei makes image quality one of the strongest selling points of the Mate 80 Pro. The True-to-Colour Camera 2.0 is designed to capture colors closer to real-world conditions, which should make photos and videos look more natural.
The main camera uses a 50MP Ultra Lighting Camera with an F1.4–F4.0 variable aperture. It also includes Optical Image Stabilization, helping maintain sharp detail and steadier results, especially in low-light situations.
The rear setup is not limited to a single shooting style. Huawei also includes a 48MP telephoto macro camera for zoom and close-up shots, plus a 40MP ultra-wide camera for landscapes, architecture, and work documentation.
Designed for users with active mobility
Beyond imaging, Huawei puts strong emphasis on durability. The Mate 80 Pro uses a Super Durable Architecture combined with second-generation Kunlun Glass, which the company says offers protection up to 20 times stronger than standard glass.
The body is further reinforced with vegan fibre material to improve resistance against impact. For added protection in outdoor use, the phone carries both IP68 and IP69 certifications.
This combination makes the Mate 80 Pro suitable for users who move between locations frequently and need a device that can handle more demanding conditions. The phone also comes with a 6.75-inch display and slim bezels, while the Dual Space Ring Design gives it a premium appearance.
Color options include Gold, Green, and Black.
AI features for faster day-to-day use
Huawei also adds a set of AI-based tools to support daily tasks. AI Composition and AI Best Expression are designed to help users produce cleaner and more expressive photos with less manual editing.
Another feature, AI Remove, makes it easier to erase unwanted objects from images. For communication, the phone supports AI Gesture and AI Messaging to improve efficiency during regular interactions.
All of these functions are gathered under AI Smart Control, which can be accessed quickly through the device’s button. The setup suggests Huawei is focusing not only on visuals, but also on convenience and productivity.
Large battery, fast charging, and purchase incentives
Battery life is another major highlight of the Mate 80 Pro. The phone carries a 5,750 mAh battery, a capacity intended to keep the device running through a full day of use.
Charging options are also generous, with 100W Wired SuperCharge and 80W Wireless SuperCharge available for faster top-ups when the battery needs to be ready again quickly. This pairing gives users flexibility depending on how they charge their device.
During the first-sale period until 24 May 2026, Huawei is also offering purchase incentives worth up to Rp7.5 million. With its focus on accurate color capture, stronger build quality, AI support, and a large battery, the Mate 80 Pro enters the premium segment as a device built to serve photography, endurance, and productivity at the same time.
